Voces/Voices Public Art Exhibit, Opening Reception & Art Fiesta

Voces/Voices is Wickham Works’ summer 2021 outdoor public art exhibition, showcasing the work of area artists – Matthew Barile, Kris Campbell, Claire Gilliam, Raheli Harper, Dave Kurdyla, Milkweed Poetry Workshop, Emily Welch & youth artists from the Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization.

Their work, created in response to the theme Finding Your Voice, will be exhibited in Railroad Green, Lewis Park, and Pine Island Park from August 14 to 31.

In addition to these eight large scale pieces, Voces/Voices will feature artwork by young artists in Wickham Works’ summer programs – the Dulce Esperanza summer enrichment program run by the Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization and the Student Youth Leadership Academy at the Warwick Valley Community Center.

Join us for two free public events to view the artwork and meet the artists:
Saturday, August 14, 4:00 pm – Artist Walk-and-Talk followed by an Opening Reception. Meet at Railroad Green in the Village of Warwick to take part in a short walk to Lewis Park. We will hear from the artists as we view the artworks along the way. Reception sponsored by the Warwick Historical Society in Lewis Park, Warwick, NY 10990.

Sunday, August 15, 12:00 to 4:00 pm - Art Fiesta in collaboration with the Warwick Area Farmworkers Association; food, music, and celebration of the artists in Pine Island Park, Kay Drive, Pine Island, NY 10969
