About Us

In late Spring of 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of volunteers met to discuss how to develop a website and brand that could help support local businesses and the community during this unprecedented time. Using the results from the 2018-2020 Townwide Visioning and business feedback, the group, the Warwick Valley Branding Initiative (WVBI), identified the following challenges:

• ensure residents and tourists alike are aware of and able to capitalize on all the value our area has to offer,
smooth out seasonal peaks and valleys for our local economy,
increase and diversify all local businesses’ and organizations’ access to audiences,
• capture a greater share of regional tourism revenue,
promote all local businesses and nonprofits regardless of ability to pay,
• encourage more Warwick and Orange County residents to spend their dollars here rather than in neighboring communities.

The WVBI’s mission is to connect residents and visitors to the community’s natural attractions, businesses, nonprofits, culture, and experiences through a website, social media, and advertising that feature a shared brand identity, strengthening the local economy and community.
