Join the Warwick Valley Rotary Club and the Warwick Historical Society for a restoration project of the old Union African Methodist Episcopalian (UAME) church, built in 1906 and moved to its current location on Forester Avenue in 2007.
Saturday, May 6th
10:00am to 4:00pm
The collaborative effort of these two civic organizations will ensure that the landmark building remains preserved for generations.
Roe Brothers Lumber of Florida, NY has generously supported the project with a $500 donation toward materials, and the Rotary Club made a $500 donation toward the cost of supplies.
Volunteers from the community are welcome to assist with the prepping, cleaning and painting days, scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6 and Saturday, May 20 (rain dates May 7 and May 21).
The two organizations also hope to complete painting the fence at Lewis Park, the beautiful green in the middle of the Village of Warwick.
Volunteer sign-up may be found here, call 845-986-3236 or visit warwickhistory.org for more information.
