The Amity Gallery will present Natural Light, a show featuring the recent paintings of Karen Rossen that focuses on nature and bringing the outdoors in through art work from November 5th - 27th.
Saturday, November 5th
Opening Reception from 4:00 to 6:00pm
Not attempting to portray actual plants, Rossen paints a creation that could have lived somewhere else. She believes that "connecting with the natural world may help us to slow down - we are a part of nature and that it's important for our own existence and survival.
Rossen studied art in her native Denmark and at the Newark School of Fine Arts and Industrial Art. She is the recipient of two Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Grants and has exhibited in numerous galleries including Monmouth Museum, Milkweed Gallery and Studio Montclair. She is featured in American Artist.
Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00 to 4:00pm.
