Historic Property Tours for George Washington Day Celebration

As part of the annual George Washington Day celebration, commemorating the Founding Father's visit to Warwick in 1782, tour the landmark properties of the Warwick Historical Society located throughout the Village of Warwick from 12 pm to 4 pm, and hear some of the stories of the people and circumstances that have shaped Warwick's past.

Enjoy up-close looks at the old School Baptist Meeting House, the upstairs at Baird's Tavern, and the Shingle House complex with the old UAME Church, the Sly Barn, the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway Caboose, and the Shingle House, the oldest house in the Village of Warwick, built in 1764.

Talk to the docents and diggers, the historians and history-enthusiasts in Warwick, and be part of local history.

This event is free, donations are appreciated. Call 845-986-3236 for more information.
