Did you know the Great Chain that was placed across the Hudson River to prevent the British from sailing upriver during the American Revolution was manufactured at Sterling Forest? Join Doc Bayne of the Friends of Sterling Forest for an interpretive walk around the site of the forge.

Hikers will meet at the Visitor Center and drive to the site. If the weather prevents hiking, this will be a lecture.
Dress warmly and wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes and bring a snack and water.
