Celebrate Earth Day and our area’s natural beauty with a guided paddle of Wickham Lake.
Saturday, April 23rd
11:00am to 2:00pm
Enjoy a chance to see one of the Hudson Valley's natural gems with the guidance of ecologists whose families have lived near Wickham lake for generations.
Expect to see colorful waterfowl, turtles, breathtaking scenery of the Bellvale Ridge and Sugar Loaf mountain, and even navigate some of Wickham's mysterious "ditches". Wickham's bald eagles may make an appearance, as well.
Bring a warm jacket, a camera and binoculars.
Personal Flotation Devices are required pursuant to NYS law.
Open to ALL interested, experienced paddlers on kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.
The event is free to all, although donations to the New York Natural History council are suggested.
The group will be easy to find: Just look for their Canoes and Kayaks flying the GREEN BALLOONS, out on the open water off the Wickham Woods park dock.
