Detestable Arts: An Immersive Theater Experience

Greenwood Lake Theater
in partnership with The Warwick Historical Society present “Detestable Arts” - an original retelling of the Salem Witch Trials done in an immersive setting. The story takes place over an acre of space in beautiful Lewis Park, as well as inside the historic Old School Baptist Meeting House. The audience can get right in the middle of the accusations and trials that became one of Colonial America’s most notorious cases of mass hysteria.

Everyone who attends will move freely throughout the space to experience the story in whatever order they choose. It’s a chance to be a part of the story, rather than just watching from a distance. Take a break from the performance and drink in the colonial-era tavern alongside the residents of Salem Village (drink tickets available at the door).
