Are you a gardener with an abundance of one type of produce and a hankering for more of another? Did your garden produce too many cucumbers, but not enough tomatoes? Peas but no onions? Parsley but no basil?
Thursday, July 14th
6:30 to 7:30pm
Grow Local Greenwood Lake invites their neighbors, backyard and community gardeners, and urban homesteaders to come together regularly to share the abundance of their garden-grown fruits and veggies at the Common Ground Community Garden.
At a crop swap, local gardeners exchange their excess harvest, honey, eggs, seeds/starters.
They also welcome your compost materials.
This is a great way to share harvest, create community connections, save money, and eat a wider variety of healthy, locally sourced, fresh food.
Any extra produce will be donated to the Greenwood Lake Food Pantry and the Senior Center.
