To most people “Classical Music” is a general term, a catch-all for anything that might be played at a symphony concert. There is however a more specific, and more historical definition of ‘Classical Music’ which needs exploration.
Sunday, March 19th
2:00 to 4:00pm
In this hybrid mix of conversation and live musical performance, the Kemyndable Trio will highlight examples of phrasing, harmony, and form that differentiate these “Classical” compositions from music that might have been composed at another time, or by a composer with a different aesthetic sense.
Among the works they will perform are:
Mozart Overture to Cosi Fan Tutte
Mozart 3 German Dances
Devienne Flute Trio #5
Scherer Trio #2
