Everyone is welcome to the Annual Onion Festival, featuring 18-time Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra.

Don’t miss the opportunity to enter the mouth- and eye-watering Annual Onion Eating Contest, sponsored by the Pine Island Chamber- where the fastest one to eat a whole onion wins the coveted title.

This event will be sponsored and conducted by the Orange County Vegetable Growers Association. The winner will receive a check for $100 from the Orange County Vegetable Growers Association, and a plaque sponsored by the Orange County Farm Bureau.

Registration is limited to 12 contestants. Pre-registration is required.

The contest is in celebration of Pine Island’s 3,000 acres of hearty onions, famous throughout America. Contestants can register by emailing Alex Kocot : kocot4@warwick.net
