Greenwood Lake Boy Scout Troop 121
Greenwood Lake’s Troop 121 is part of the "Rockland district" "Hudson Valley Council" and has been sponsored by the "Greenwood Lake Elks BPOE Lodge 2067" since 1983. The Troop accepts ages 11 and up and meets on Thursdays from 7 – 8:30 pm at the GWL Elks Lodge. As much as possible Troop 121 runs a boy-run troop providing leadership experience for the scouts. The Troop goes camping approximately once a month and attends most council-supported Camporees and Freezorees. Troop 121 also has a great history of providing service to the community and has completed many eagle projects to improve the village and surrounding community.

Greenwood Lake Girl Scouts
Greenwood Lake’s Girl Scouts aim to empower girls and to help teach values such as honesty, fairness, courage, compassion, character, sisterhood, confidence, and through activities including camping, community service, learning first aid, and earning badges by acquiring practical skills. Girl Scouts’ achievements are recognized through rank advancement and by various special awards such as the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. Membership is organized according to grade, with activities designed for each level.

Greenwood Lake Girls Softball
Another fun-filled season is upon us for K-9th grade girls, and the Greenwood Lake Girl’s Softball is ready for you! The season runs from April through June. Register for any of the 4 Divisions: T-Ball Ages 4-6; Minor Juniors Ages 7-9; Major Juniors Ages 10-12; Seniors Ages 13-17, or at the Village Hall Mon-Fri 8 am to 4 pm.

Greenwood Lake Hard Ball
For players 15-30, the Greenwood Lake Hard Ball league is for all kids and adults who aren’t able to afford to play in a league, who may have been cut from another league, or who aren’t fully physically able (too old or too young, etc.). We are here to get kids off the streets and give them something to do on a Sunday.

Greenwood Lake Soccer Club
Established in 1976, the Greenwood Lake Soccer Club, a member of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League, is a not-for-profit organization with a current enrollment of approximately 150 players and young adults and includes a 10-month recreation season. The vision of the Club is to provide a positive environment for the development of our youth, build soccer skills and ability, character, self-esteem, and a love of the game.

Four Seasons Kids
Four Seasons Kids is a children’s clothing outreach program started in conjunction with St. Stephen the First Martyr Church in Warwick, New York. The mission of Four Seasons Kids is to help needy children in Warwick Township by soliciting, collecting, cleaning, and distributing new and like new clothing four times a year, once per season.
Each season’s bag will contain 5 to 6 outfits appropriate for that upcoming season in terms of time of year, temperature, holidays and special events. The schedule of distributions are as follows:
SPRING CLOTHING: distributed in February/March
SUMMER CLOTHING: distributed in May/June
FALL CLOTHING: distributed in August/September
WINTER CLOTHING: distributed in November/December

The Warwick Soccer Club, a member of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League, is a not-for-profit organization with a seasonal enrollment of 800-900 kids and young adults. Warwick Soccer’s mission is to promote the ideas of Sportsmanship, Responsibility, Community Pride, and Physical Fitness, without discrimination, to boys and girls of all abilities. To provide a supervised and safe environment, free of adult ambition, to learn the fundamentals of soccer. To encourage children’s participation in soccer as an exciting, satisfying and rewarding social activity.

Winslow Therapeutic Riding
Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International founded by Virginia G. Mazza and Virginia H. Martin. The center is devoted to individuals with disabilities residing in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas in northern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Winslow offers therapeutic riding lessons and an adult day program that are dedicated to participants who face many different challenges. Winslow offers traditional riding lessons, a youth leadership program, additional youth programs that teach responsibility and teamwork through a variety of activities, and a teen volunteer program that works on small fundraising events in addition to many other projects around our facility.

Warwick Skatepark Initiative
The Warwick Skatepark Initiative (WSI) is a community skatepark advocacy and fundraising group, formed in 2019 to build an upgraded skatepark in Veterans Memorial Park in the Village of Warwick. This new concrete park will replace the popular, but aging, current skatepark. WSI’s goal is to work together with the individuals, families, and businesses of Warwick to raise the money needed to build a premier facility, with access to needed amenities, providing a more exciting, challenging, improved park experience for children, teens, and adults who enjoy skateboarding, biking and scooting.

Beautiful People
Beautiful People is a non-profit organization that provides adaptive sports for children and young adults with disabilities. Their mission is to bridge children and adults, and their families, with the broader community through adaptive sports programs. Seasons of baseball, soccer, and basketball are offered to participants with developmental and physical challenges. Athletes are aided to the extent needed by mainstream teen and adults volunteers to enjoy the benefits of team sports.
